CASA CACHICATA

(In project)

This house combines adobe, wood, stone and glass to achieve a design that blends tradition and contemporaneity. Located on the slopes of the stone quarry used by the Incas to build Ollantaytambo, the project uses local materials, which reinforces the sustainability of the design and its integration with the landscape.

The design revolves around an internal courtyard, an architectural solution that seeks to protect the inhabitants from the strong winds characteristic of the afternoons in this region. This space not only offers a climatic shelter, but also functions as a functional and social heart of the house, connecting the interior spaces with the natural surroundings. The use of glass in strategic elements provides light, spaciousness and a modern contrast that enriches the spatial experience without clashing with the traditional character of the materials.
